What is the Speak To Your Health! Community Survey? The Speak To Your Health! Community Survey examines a wide range of issues related to individual and community health in Genesee County, Michigan. This biennial survey is designed by community, health department, and university partners and has been conducted since 2003.
All residents of Genesee County who are at least 18 years old are eligible to participate. The survey only takes about 25 minutes and has 118 questions about your health, neighborhood, and personal experiences. Your answers will be kept confidential as allowed by law. We may share anonymous data with other researchers and will not reveal your name or contact information unless you permit us to do so. This will be explained to you more at the end of the survey. All information will be stored in a locked office.
Your participation is voluntary; you may stop at any time or choose not to answer any question without penalty. Your participation has minimal risk to you; you may feel uncomfortable when talking about personal experiences. If you wish, we can provide you with resources to help address these issues. Although you may not receive direct benefit from your participation, your community will ultimately benefit from the knowledge obtained in this study. You are indicating your consent to participate by completing the online survey.
